GP3 Program Registration

Holistic. Intentional. Extraordinary.

Registration for Spring 2020 is open.

GAAs may register for multiple sessions at once, or register on a rolling basis. All registration deadlines are 15 days before the session date. Participants will receive a confirmation email with details one week before each session. If availability changes and you will not be able to attend a session any longer, email slgradpad@osu.edu.

Grad Pad Professional Plan Program Registration

The Grad Pad is excited to continue the Grad Pad Professional Plan (GP3) Program providing GAAs opportunities to grow and develop as you navigate The Ohio State University! In the Office of Student Life, professional development is part of our culture and is one of the ways we work to foster the extraordinary student experience for our graduate administrative associates.

The GP3 Program is a number of structured sessions and activities in which Graduate Administrative Associates (GAAs) have the opportunity to engage with various partners from the University community and in the city of Columbus, including student affairs professionals and executive leadership. Each session and opportunity is aligned with one or more our seven core capacities designed to assist GAAs in developing fundamental skills necessary to be an effective and efficient GAA and enhance their ability to progress through their career.

All GAAs in Student Life are required to attend two General Sessions and/or Signature events per semester.

GP3 Alternative Sessions

Alternative Sessions are an opportunity for Student Life GAAs to pursue professional development beyond the GP3 program offerings when the GAA is absolutely unable to attend (1-2) two required sessions due to an academic course time of instruction. Additional activities (i.e. internships, group projects, travel, department events) will not be accepted as reasons for inability to attend GP3 General or Signature sessions. All conflicting course schedules must be submitted to slgradpad@osu.edu by 5pm on the second Friday of each semester.

GP3 Sessions provide opportunities for GAAs to gain essential transferable skills, knowledge, and experience at the core of graduate education and professional preparation. Alternative sessions should do the same and must be:

  • Selected by GAA
  • At least 1 hour in length
  • Located on campus or the Columbus, Ohio area
  • Linked to one or more GP3 core capacities

GAAs are encouraged to take notes to complete the required GP3 Alternative Session Follow-Up Form (https://go.osu.edu/gp3altsession). The form is due no later than 1-week after the event or session. In the event of late submission, the GAA will be able to attend another session and submit again.
