Holistic. Intentional. Extraordinary.
Our mission is to create high-quality personal and professional development opportunities for Graduate Administrative Associates within the Office of Student Life that enrich the graduate student scholarly experience at The Ohio State University.
During the 2018-2019, the Office of Student Life’s Grad Pad launched the Grad Pad Professional Plan (GP3) Program. As a strong supporter of graduate students, the Office of Student Life, believes that professional development is part of our culture and is one of the ways we work to foster the extraordinary student experience for our graduate administrative associates.
The GP3 Program is a number of structured sessions and activities in which Graduate Administrative Associates (GAAs) have the opportunity to engage with various partners from the University community and in the city of Columbus, including student affairs professionals and executive leadership. Each session and opportunity is aligned with one or more our seven core capacities designed to assist GAAs in developing fundamental skills necessary to be an effective and efficient GAA and enhance their ability to progress through their career.
The GP3 Program core capacities encompass essential transferable skills, knowledge, and experience at the core of graduate education and professional preparation. Graduate Administrative Associates in the Office of Student Life at The Ohio State University are encouraged to use the GP3 Programs a guide to strengthen existing skills and develop new competencies relevant to academic and professional goals.
